AtlasCare's 5 Steps to Protect the Health of Your Children
To ensure the health of your children and your family, we have
identified five key steps. Follow these steps in sequence. The five
steps will address indoor air quality including mold removal, mold
allergies, asthma treatments, allergy control and ventilation
cleaning. The five key steps are:
Step 1 - Identification
Step 2 - Elimination
Step 3 - Isolation
Step 4 - Ventilation
Step 5 - Filtration
Step 1 -
Identification
You might notice at times, or perhaps at all times, that your home
feels stuffy, or that smells tend to linger. You or your children
may have allergies, or you may find that you are particularly
sensitive to dust or animal dander. If this is the case, or if you
are simply unsure of the indoor air quality of your home, a proper
identification of indoor air pollution is needed. To receive a
proper identification, and ensure that you have a healthy home, you
need a home indoor air quality expert; you need AtlasCare.
An AtlasCare Walkthrough is Your Best Indoor Air Pollution
Identification Process
When you hire AtlasCare for the identification of air pollution in
your home, otherwise known as a "walkthrough", we start with asking
you a series of specific questions aimed at identifying your indoor
air pollution problems and possible mold allergies. Our IAQ (Indoor
Air Quality) is an in-depth walkthrough based on the C.M.H.C.'s
(Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation's) protocol and Health
Canada's standards, customers can be sure that any problems are
identified along with the proper solutions.
We may suggest an upgrade to the AtlasCare Optimum Duct Cleaning.
In addition to the standard duct cleaning, customers can purchase
any upgrade, which includes treating vents with sanitizing spray,
cleaning their dryer vents and conducting a Canary Air Quality
Assurance Test. The AtlasCare Optimum Duct Cleaning Program can
guarantee better air quality for you and your family.
A Canary Air Quality Assurance Test
As an add on to your walkthrough, you can choose to have a Canary
Air Quality Assurance Test. This indoor air quality test measures
key components of air quality: temperatures, humidity, carbon
monoxide, carbon dioxide, particles, and volatile organic compounds
(chemicals). What this test really does is provide you with peace
of mind that can only come with knowing that the air your family
breathes is healthy and clean and without indoor air
pollution.
Step 2 -
Elimination
After having an AtlasCare walkthrough and a Canary Air Quality
Assurance Test, your indoor air pollution problems would be
identified and your next step is to have those pollutant offenders
eliminated. This can include removing paints, fragrant products
such as hairsprays and perfumes, chemicals found in cleaning
products, mold, and more.
Step 3 -
Isolation
Isolating your child's bedroom from any possible indoor air
pollution is a key in maintaining your children's health. Think of
their bedroom as an oasis. During your indoor air quality testing
and the AtlasCare walkthrough, our experts will provide you with
specific ways in which you can effectively transform your child's
bedroom into an oasis and eliminate indoor air pollution.
Step 4 -
Ventilation
Ventilation is a key component in keeping your home as healthy as
possible. A heat recovery ventilator (HRV) brings clean, fresh air
in the home and disperses the old, stale air outside. Ventilation
also removes chemicals trapped in the carpets and furniture in your
home. This process can reduce indoor air pollution and provide
additional support in allergy control and in asthma treatments for
your family.
Step 5 -
Filtration
Proper air filtration is one of the most important aspects of
indoor air quality. Air filters remove unwanted particles from the
air, such as pollen, dust, mold, bacteria, and more. A proper air
filtration system will also protect the health of your furnace and
HVAC system, keeping them working at high efficiency
and ultimately saving you money in energy costs.
Proper air filters can give you fresher, cleaner air every day.
With the right air filtration technology installed in your home,
you will reduce mold allergies, aid in allergy control and asthma
treatments, and ensure that your family will enjoy true indoor air
quality.
